Information

With her concept for a square with a bandstand in front of the town hall, the architect aimed to create an identifiable landmark with light and trees that suited the functional demands and redefined the spatial context. The design was not realised.

Maringer’s answer to the question "How can I depict a source that is not visible on the surface?" was to place various metal objects at energetic points of power that thematically relate to water with their blue colour. In the center there is the "Tausammler" (Dew Collector), a metal object that is mounted right on the source as a sign. Water runs through a grid and is captured by a funnel below the ground. A further design element is the console cylinder between Mistelstein and "Tausammler", also a point of power. Both seat cylinders are situated on power streams leading to the center. The two light columns also stand on two power streams. The light energy is emitted from solar cells and directed at the center.
